Are manuscripts uploaded to your platform permanently stored?

Whatever you upload is in your personal space, organized into projects. The documents are stored on our servers until you delete them or you delete your account.

If content is stored, what is the retention period, and what is the purpose?

Your documents are retained until you delete the respective project or delete your account.

Do you have any protocols in place to prevent being included in third-party plagiarism detection databases?

Yes. Data are stored on security-certified Microsoft Azure cloud services.

What is the process for the permanent deletion of my uploaded content?

You can permanently delete a particular document by deleting the respective project. You can do this on the main page of the thesify app. Your documents are also immediately and permanently deleted if you delete your thesify account. You can do this in your profile, accessible at the top right of the app.

How do you protect academic content confidentiality and originality?

We do not share user data with any third parties, except to provide the service as promised. In particular, your documents are not used for any other purpose than to provide the service we offer. All data is stored on and secured by Microsoft Azure Cloud services.

What measures does thesify implement to protect the originality of uploaded academic content?

Documents are stored in the user’s personal space. Only the user has access to these documents.

Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number, and the security code associated with your payment instrument. Social Media Login Data. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Facebook, Twitter, or other social media account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect the information described in the section called "How do we handle your social logins?" below.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than three (3) months past the termination of the user's account. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information.

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

9. Do we collect information from minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. 11. Controls for do-not-track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you in a revised version of this privacy notice.

In Short: If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or Virginia, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.

We have collected the following categories of personal information in the past twelve (12) months: identifiers (such as contact details and IP address) and personal information as defined in the California Customer Records statute (such as name, contact information, education, and employment information). We do not sell your personal information.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Virginia residents may have rights including the right to be informed about processing, access personal data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a copy of data previously shared, and opt out of certain processing such as targeted advertising or sale of personal data.
